The painting Girl with a pearl earring might be the most famous painting by Johannes Vermeer. She has been painted with so much eye for detail that it is almost impossible to imagine that she wasn’t real. It is a fantasy portrait. We added this girl with her dreamy look to our wall plate as part of our collection. Our own master painters took the original portrait and added a stunning floral decor around her. The soft pastel colors of the flowers match the soft tones of the portrait and make her seem even lovelier. Heinen Delfts Blauw created this special collection, to use the eyes of the master painter to look at our shared history as this is also the place and time where Delft blue pottery became popular.
